Anushree Mondal

Postdoctoral Fellow

Anushree is a postdoctoral research associate from West Bengal, India, with experience in polymer chemistry and biomedical materials research. She earned her Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the Department of Chemical Sciences at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) in November 2025 under the supervision of Professor Priyadarsi De. Her doctoral research focused on the design and synthesis of sulfur dioxide- and nitric oxide-releasing polymers for biomedical applications, with particular emphasis on antibacterial therapies and cancer treatment. In addition, she developed antioxidant polymer systems aimed at combating neurodegenerative diseases. Anushree is engaged in developing advanced polymeric materials and investigating their influence on macrophage polarization. Beyond the laboratory, she enjoys reading, cooking, drawing, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
