Caleb McGrath was with the lab for two  years and was a part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program. He contributed to two of the lab’s research projects. Firstly, he worked alongside Ram Prasad Sekar to investigate how augmenting polyplexes with PGA affected both transfection efficiency and cytotoxicity. Secondly, he collaborated with Jessica Lawson and Sekar to investigate the effects of polyplex size on transfection efficiency as well as cytotoxicity across various cell lines. Caleb graduated magna cum laude with his B.S. in Quantitative Biosciences and Engineering in December of 2023. Caleb is pursuing a career in medicine and hopes to continue research throughout his career.
